This year the team at Fantastic Services decided to spread some Christmas cheer by holding a Christmas Charity Bazaar. The aim was to raise much needed funds for the Oncology Ward in St Marina Hospital in Varna, Bulgaria. Why Bulgaria? Because for the founding owners Bulgaria has a special place in their hearts. One of them actually has his roots in the country itself. They both wanted to do something that would raise money for the future life blood of this wonderful country so decided that the Bulgarian children’s hospital in Varna was a worthwhile cause.
The event was held in the company’s biggest conference room on December 13th. Lots of talented volunteers prepared hand-made jewellery, decorations, greetings cards and home made food. Lemonade, cookies, pastries and other delicious baked goods were on offer all at a minimum price. Purchasers were of course free to pay as much as they wanted for all the wonderful fare. One of Fantastic Services IT specialists also had up for auction some amazing portrait drawings. And his first appearance as an artist went down a storm. He was very proud to show off his talent and for such a worthy cause.
Everyone was excited to attend and happy to buy in bulk, choosing from the amazing range of hand crafted goods. We brought along other family members to make the whole occasion all that more memorable. As that is what Christmas is all about after all. Together we enjoyed the festive cheer and friendly atmosphere and were very pleased with the overall result. Funds were raised for the children of Bulgaria and we all had a great time.
What could be better than bringing smiles to the faces of Bulgarian children at this festive time of the year? Here at Fantastic Services we like to do as much as we can for the community, whether it’s here in the UK or overseas. A huge amount of money can be raised with very little effort when you all muck in. Many of the items created only took a few hours to make but the funds they helped raise will provide many more hours of joy and Yuletide cheer.
