We’re pretty excited here at Fantastic Services because we’ve made it into the pages of one of the top Fleet Street papers. The Guardian newspaper has put our CEO Rune Sovndahl into the spotlight and given him the opportunity to explain the fantastic journey he and his business partner Anton have been enjoying since 2009. The pair of them met at a party 5 years ago and after discussing the lack of an affordable and reliable cleaning service in the area they put their heads and experience together to form Fantastic Services.
They built their new domestic cleaning service on the idea of Anton’s cleaning company, with the aim to provide excellent services, maximum flexibility, and to understand how to mark their service effectively. And even though we say so ourselves, it appears that they knew exactly what they were doing. Since our humble beginnings back in 2005 the number of services offered have expanded to more than 40 including gardening services, pest control, removals and of course the mainstay of the company cleaning.
There have been a few milestones along the way including the complete redesign of the company vehicles that meant more staff and equipment could be fitted inside, enabling us to be more cost-effective and significantly reduce fuel costs. We currently have more than 200 cars in our cost-efficient fleet.
Another high point was the introduction of our GoFantastic app last October. The article finishes up by asking about future plans and any advice to be had for budding entrepreneurs. Rune’s advice for anyone considering starting up a new business was to ask whether it’s really what you want. Explaining that any new business will mean sacrificing your time and sanity but it wouldn’t be worth having if it was handed to you on a plate.
