I feel like I’m a European and a Londoner.
You’ve probably heard a lot in the news about BREXIT. The future of the UK economy is being discussed in great detail, and here at Fantastic Services, we understand that everyone is entitled to their opinion on the referendum. After all, it’s our differences that make the world go round. So, we wanted to share with you Rune Sovndahl, CEO and Co-Founder of Fantastic Services, talking to London Live TV, about what remaining in the EU means to him.
He explains “As a business person I want to stay because I don’t want any more red tape and I don’t think we have red tape now. I think the European Union is very transparent and very easy to deal with, and it’s very easy to export and import and it’s very easy to work across the borders here.”
It’s not only about the freedom of labour and movement across Europe it’s also about the regulations set by the EU. He tells London Live that, “What makes is easy, is it’s easy to set up companies, there is common law, and there are the same regulations on a lot of things. It’s a lot easier for us to set certain things up because you can say this is the European law”.
Not only that, it’s about how he feels and he says, “I think that Europe is about union, I think for me it means it’s a bond, it’s who I am. It’s a lot of our identity and I was one of the first to grow up and feel like I’m a European. I think that’s very very clear. I feel like I’m a European, but I also feel like I’m a Londoner. So I feel this divide is very personal to how we feel being here.”
With all of these taken into consideration and the fact that the UK has voted to leave, only time will tell what the future holds. For some, the changes won’t be as welcomed as for others. Good or bad thing, the vote certainly will have an impact on us all.
