A Free Handyman to Help With Recovery

The Richmond Integrated Recovery Service (RIRS) is the local branch of the national charity CGL – Change, Grow, Live. The great staff there help individuals and communities across the UK which are affected by drugs, crime, homelessness, anti-social behaviour and domestic abuse. It’s the sort of vital service which people all over the country would be all the poorer without.
So when RIRS reached out to Fantastic Services for a little maintenance work on their Richmond premises, we were glad to be able to offer some free handyman services.

Fantastic Services’ commitment to giving something back to the community and our 360 Degree Happiness Philosophy often lead us to do a little free work for charities who ask for assistance – usually with the maintenance or cleaning of their properties.

When the Richmond Integrated Recovery Service – which does some amazing work supporting people through their journey from alcohol and drug misuse, alongside providing other vital supporting services – got in touch with us to ask about doing a little free handyman work on their premises, we were more than happy to help.

What is the Richmond Integrated Recovery Service?

The RIRS helps people struggling with and recovering from addiction, drug and alcohol misuse. Part of the charity CGL – Change, Grow, Live, RIRS and CGL as a whole help people to change their lives for the better.

The charity has been designed to provide services which are:

  • Accessible and local
  • High-quality and integrated
  • Promoting of health and well-being
  • Without their hard work, people up and down the country would be far worse off.

Last year alone CGL Nationally:

  • Helped 110,000 people with their recovery
  • Had a re-presentation rate 30% better than the national average
  • Provide overdose kits which were used to help save more than 442 lives since 2016!
