Then read on, because this post has the solution!
If you’ve diagnosed the problem, you may be asking yourself just how to get air out of water pipes. Luckily, this issue is usually easily handled without professional help.
Here is what to do to remove air from water pipes:
Time needed: 15 minutes.
Locate the main water supply valve and shut it off completely.
Starting from the one closest to the shutoff valve and working your way towards the furthest one, slightly open all the water faucets. This includes all sinks, showers and bathtubs.
Don’t forget to flush the toilets a couple of times, too.
Once all the faucets are turned on, turn the main water supply back on. Keep the water running for 10-15 minutes, or until you get a steady stream of water with no noises.
Turn on all the appliances in your home that use water, such as the washing machine and dishwasher, and run them through a rinse cycle.
Once you get a steady stream of water, you can turn the faucets back off, starting with the furthest one from the shutoff valve, and working your way back to the closest one.
If this method doesn’t solve your problem, you may be dealing with a more serious issue. If this is the case, you’d be better off calling in the professionals.
